Job Title : TA Scheduler

Industry : Refinery Turnaround

Salary :  DOE Plus OT- PERDIEM

Position Objectives:

This scheduler will need to have experience scheduling for a large scale turnaround utilizing P6.

This person needs the capabilities of producing s-curves, charts, graphs, etc..

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUBJECT POSITION

  • Develop and implement detailed P6 schedules with safety as the number one priority utilizing / creating:
    • 1. Critical Path Method 
    • 2. Resource Loading & Leveling 
    • 3. Shift Reports & histograms 
    • 4. Schedule progressing and maintenance
    • 5. WBS Structure
  • Determine logic and estimate resources (including indirect/direct manpower, materials, equipment, and special tools) (Capital & Expense).
  • Assist in the development of resource staffing plans.
  • Work with 3rd Party Contractors on planning clarifications, job scope, and schedule development.
  • Work with Execution, Engineering, Technical, Procurement, and Warehousing to develop detailed schedules and help resolve issues with duration and resources.
  • Work with planners and execution leads on the development of scheduled plans using electronic turnaround software (Primavera)
  • Work with Lead TA Planner to produce the Budgetary and Control Estimate information on progress reporting
  • Generate complete work scopes for each assigned turnaround Foreman/ Rep./Planner/Contractor and develop knowledge and skills and scope familiarity for the turnaround team.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external Turnaround Reviews
  • Perform field verification of completed scope to determine/audit job progress. 

 SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & BUSINESS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Minimum of High School diploma
  • Minimum of five years turnaround scheduling experience in a lead role
  • Turnaround planning, scheduling, and estimating principles and techniques. (required)
  • Computer skills including advanced Primavera P6 usage, SAP (Optional), MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meeting facilitation skills.
  • Time Management / Organizational skills.
  • Knowledge and use of basic Inspection and QA/QC Procedures. 
  • Knowledgeable in process equipment repairs (pumps, vessels, heaters, exchangers, etc.).
  • Comfortable with progressing multiple activities in parallel
