Position Objectives:

Qualifications

Education Level – Should have a degree (BS, MS) preferably in construction management, Industrial Management, Civil Engineering or related field.

Should have minimum of 7 years of experience in full project Scheduling and progressing for Engineering and Design Deliverables, and Construction for capital projects

Strong scheduling experience in Primavera P6. 

Proficient in develop WBS and using Earned Value Management system to monitor project performance.

Must be able to manage, implement and control the overall scheduling process from project conception to project completion while supporting a portfolio of 100 plus projects.

Responsibilities:

  • The ability to use prior project knowledge to build conceptual schedules
  • Incorporate contractor detailed engineering and construction schedules with Client activities to build a complete integrated project schedule.
  • Provide a schedule package appropriate for the project stage gate approval team.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interactive planning meeting for all projects requesting final investment funding as part of the assurance activity. 
  • Consolidate the capital project portfolio schedules monthly by gathering all active projects together electronically on the Client network.
  • Update the project progress reports with planned dates as schedules are approved.
  • Report scheduling information quarterly to support development of the KPI stoplight charts
  • Perform analysis to track deltas between planned and actual dates and durations. Create a statistical understanding of planned data versus actual outcomes
  • Earned Value Management system

 

Must have a solid understanding of the following:

Client

  • Review and understand Job Execution Plan
  • Understand contract terms, deliverables and schedule
  • Review organization structure and reporting requirements

Technical

  • Develop work scope for each client work orders received
  • Develop detail logical work steps for scope
  • Estimate manhours of work in scope
  • Field verify work described
  • Assemble work packages
  • Analyze CPM diagram for improved planning methods or repair techniques.
  • Enter job plan details, i.e., activity description, duration, craft and hours, equipment and materials required relationship of activity to other activities.
  • Develop fragnets for job plans.
  • Determine activity relationships and create logical ties.
  • Develop critical path and analyze for logic discrepancies.
  • Produce logic diagrams and summary bar charts.
  • Produce daily shift schedules at the activity level.
