Mechanical Capital Projects Estimator

The Project Estimator is responsible for the preparation of all levels of estimates and related activities on a project that are required to support the Capital Projects within the refinery. This includes leading the estimate during the project development phase, planning the estimate effort, interfacing with team members, estimating consolidation to final cost, leading the estimate reviews, supporting estimate revisions, kick-off and turnover to project controls, supporting change orders, control estimates, and model estimates/ closeouts. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field experience and 5 years of direct project estimating experience (relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement)
• Thorough understanding of all phases of estimating process
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Proficiency with Aspen Tech Capital Cost Estimator and Microsoft Excel

Software: Aspen/ICARUS, EXCEL, and Other Database’s (Depending on location) Estimator Requirements:

• Need 5+ years of Refinery Capital Projects
• Must have experience in Capital Project Estimating with at least 5+ years of that experience preparing/supporting capital project estimates within the petrochemical or chemical industries.
• Proficiency with ACCE Aspen Capital Cost Estimating software (setting up contractors and scope splitting).
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with PowerBI a plus
